Artist Statement:
My art is directly influenced by the ethnic original Selknam people from Patagonia in Argentina and Chile. It is inspired by their positive spiritual-shamanic traditions, cosmology, body art painting and daily life. I intend to provoke a conversation about the importance of respecting other cultures, the universal notion of how to use everything without waste, how-to live-in consonance with the environment and in a harmonious community. My motto is “to look back to look forward”.
