Writing the Walls
Writing the Walls:
Reflections
February 1–April 27, 2025
About Writing the Walls
‘Writing the Walls’, now 20 years old, began in 2005 when Artistic Director Mara Mills, Studio Theater in Exile, and Livia Straus, co-founder Hudson Valley MOCA, decided to integrate visual arts by reaching the community to contribute original works reflective of their interaction with art in the exhibit. This partnership has been a creative collaboration that has spurred and grown with community creativity.
This year, Writing the Walls: REFLECTIONS will be based on two exhibitions, “Psychological Portraits” (in Main Gallery) and the 2025 juried show, “So, You Think I’m too Old to…” (Upstairs Gallery) at HVMOCA.
Artwork will be available to see in person on Thursdays and Saturdays at HVMOCA, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
