About the Instructor:
Kelly Anne McGrath explores the figure in a variety of materials and methods. Through sculpture and paintings, she engages the viewer in a reflective visual dialogue that explores what it means to be human, fragile, and simultaneously a part of and disconnected from one’s surrounding environs.
McGrath is currently based in New York’s Hudson Valley. After serving as the Director of Education at R&F Handmade Paints, she was inspired to return to school to expand her ability to teach in the arts. She has taught through a variety of arts organizations including: Castle Hill Center for the Arts, Women’s Studio Workshop and R&F. Her deep engagement as an educator has not slowed her creative momentum as she continues to engage in an active and exploratory studio practice.
