Health and Safety measures
In light of current events, Hudson Valley MOCA is taking precautionary measures and will be closed to the public through the end of March. All public events and programs during the month of March, including the opening reception for .edu: Art Faculty of the Hudson Valley, are postponed until further notice.
The safety and well-being of our visitors and staff are the highest priority of Hudson Valley MOCA. With ongoing concerns over the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share with you the measures we are taking to safeguard the health of those visiting our campus.
• Throughout the day we are frequently disinfecting our facility with cleaner that is effective against multiple viruses and bacteria, taking extra care to wipe down door handles, push bars and other public surfaces.
• A foam soap dispenser is available in our restrooms, and disinfectant wipes are at our front desk.
• A Centers for Disease Control flyer has been posted at our front desk and bathrooms outlining techniques to help prevent the spread of germs.
We are following all recommendations from the CDC and the State of NY Health Department regarding preparedness and prevention and we will cooperate with all federal, state, and city directives regarding public safety.
In order for all of us to prevent the spread of illnesses, including the coronavirus, we urge you to follow these CDC guidelines:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Stay home when you are sick or any family member is sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
• Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a face mask.
• Individuals who have traveled from mainland China, South Korea, Italy, Iran or other CDC Level 3 Travel Warning locations, must self-isolate.
