In these times of unparalleled uncertainty, isolation and darkness, creating and viewing art continues to provide powerful nourishment and a sense of connection between individual and community.


About Loretta Oleck

Loretta Oleck is an author of advocacy journalism, three poetry books, five books in the field of mental health, and co-creator of a full-length documentary. She is a Pushcart Poetry Prize nominee with poetry and photography published in reviews and journals worldwide. Her full-length play, Paper Chains, is to be included in the Up Theater’s Renewal Reading series in NYC in 2021. In her psychotherapy practice, Oleck is a witness and ally to those suffering from the heavy toll that quarantine and COVID-19 has inflicted. On a lighter note, she is co-owner of Muddy Water, a great little coffeehouse in Tarrytown.
