Inner Eye Catalogue
Harn Museum of Art
March 22, 1998 – January 3, 1999
An exhibition devoted to new and intriguing visual experiences. Selected by the Harn Museum with the generous cooperation of Marc and Livia Straus, this group of works presents a most particular challenger: it addresses, questions, and reconsiders what defines a work of art.
The exhibition title is from one of Marc Straus’s published poems, in which he calls our “inner ear” for empathy in dealing with his cancer patients. Inner Eye suggests the combination of knowledge, intuition, and empathy that the Strauses bring to their artistic choices.
